These videos are the culmination of a lot of thought and a lot of work on art with political themes. Eventually, every artist should ask him or herself what they hope to accomplish with their art. Do they want to soothe? To entertain? To illustrate? Illuminate? Inspire? For me, working on political art, the answer became quite clear: I wanted to effect change. I felt and feel very strongly about the Bush administration and wanted to make art that would help people see them in a different light.

This is art as advertising. This is the gray area.
